Official Nike Springbok home short sleeve rugby shirt from the 2001 international season.

The condition of this original rugby jersey is 8/10 - Excellent. A small faint shadow mark on the lower front (see photos).

In 1997, coach Nick Mallett coached South Africa's unbeaten 1997 tour of Europe, and in 1998 the Boks tied the then-existing record for longest test winning streak, winning 17 consecutive tests, including the 1998 Tri-Nations. At the 1999 Rugby World Cup the Springboks reached the semi-finals of the competition, where they lost to eventual champions Australia.

During the 2002 and 2003 seasons, the Springboks lost by record margins to England (53–3), France, Scotland and New Zealand. At the 2003 Rugby World Cup, they were eliminated in the quarter final round – their worst showing to date.
