Official Cotton Oxford Scotland home long sleeved rugby shirt from the 1998/99 season. Complete with #21 sewn onto the back of the shirt in original numbering panels.

The is Cotton Oxford's superior 'player issue' version of the jersey - not commercially available at the time. It features an upgraded  & heavier material mix, aimed at increased strength & durability, a sewn-on manufacturer panel on the sleeve and numbering panel on the rear, and a reinforced collar (all compared to the regular supporters version). This is also a match worn jersey, worn during a game (the exact match is unknown). It was acquired by ourselves from a Scotland rugby jersey collector.

The condition of this original rugby jersey is 7/10 - Good. Light wear & colour fading. Some marking near one of the cuffs, and a small hole on the cuff (see photos).

Scotland won the last-ever Five Nations Championship in 1999 with a last minute win by Wales over England. But the 1999 World Cup ended the usual way, with a quarter-final defeat by New Zealand.
